Activity: Reaching out to a family member
Cost: No money, just time
As a child, getting together with family was a normal thing. It seems as if once we become adults and have children ourselves, things change.
Our main priority becomes our children and taking the steps necessary to improve our quality of life. Attempting to maintain our new set of responsibilities can feel like a fulltime job in itself.
Before you know it, we began to unintentionally neglect people close to us. So, this Weekend, reach out to a family member you haven’t spoken to in a while, set up a lunch date or some way to physically be in their presence, if possible.
In most cases, just contacting someone you haven’t spoken to in a while to genuinely find out how they are doing can go a long way. You never know, doing this maybe all that was needed to rekindle a much-needed relationship.
