3 Quick Tips To Help Your Teenage Daughter Prepare For Dating

Most fathers I know that have daughters, dread the day that she finally begins to enjoy the company of the opposite sex. Well fathers, I have some news for you!! It’s going to happen whether you like it or not!! The best thing you can do as a father is to make sure she is prepared. So, we’ve decided to put together a couple of tips just to give you some ideas!!

1. Strong Father/Daughter Bond.

I strongly believe that women who had the benefit of being raised with a solid male presence in their lives are more prepared for life. The balance that’s created when a child has both parents to depend on is invaluable. As a father, you have the power of shaping how your daughter views men.

If your reliable, trustworthy, hardworking and honest she will look for a man with those same qualities. Now, there is a flip side to that. If you don’t put in the time necessary to create a meaningful relationship with your daughter, she will have no idea what a real man looks like which will ultimately leave her susceptible to being manipulated by opportunistic men.

2. Action Speaks Louder Than Words

It’s important that fathers teach their daughters about the psyche of young men. In some cases, based on their inability to control their hormones, sex is the only thing on their mind. Because of this, young men are more inclined to say whatever they need to just to get it.

Young woman’s only defense in these situations is to understand that when dealing with men “Action speaks louder than words” if a young man really likes her…. he will show it. Ignoring the lip service and focusing solely on his actions will allow her to see exactly who he is as quick as possible.

3. Remain Goal-Oriented

After following the first two tips the only thing left to do is keep your daughter focused. Most young women who are involved in a lot of activities in school and continue to focus on their goals and future, don’t have time for bullshit.

It’s our job as parents to keep our kids on track and help them understand how to prioritize their lives. It’s imperative that young women take time to actually get to know themselves before they enter into a serious relationship.
