Black Man In Dallas Dies Trying To Help Women Involved In Altercation | In The News (Video)

A black man named Raylon “Rambo” Jones was attempting to break up an altercation outside of a convenience store and a gunman opened fire and killed him.

Police are reporting that Jones witnessed a fight break out between a man and women and attempted to intervene. The names of either person involved in the fight have yet to be released.

Upon reviewing surveillance footage, police learned the shooting actually occurred across the street. According to authorities, the video shows Jones being hit by bullets, running to TMA Grocery and falling in the lot in the back of the building.

The suspect fled the scene by car but was later apprehended by police and charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor assault. While his name has not been released the police say he is a 48-year-old man.

Police say an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
