A woman named Montia Sabbag is suing Kevin Hart for $60 Million.
In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, she claims her 2017 encounter with Kevin Hart in a Las Vegas was planned by him and his friend JT Jackson, who was later arrested for extortion. She said Kevin and his friend secretly recorded the encounter and she feels he was motivated by publicity and the need to get more, especially with a comedy tour coming up. In her claim, she says that’s why he hid the camera.
The suit claims Hart allowed Jackson into the Cosmopolitan Hotel suite so he could set up hidden video recording devices to capture the liaison. Jackson was later charged with 2 counts of extortion relating to alleged efforts to get money out of Hart to keep the tape under wraps. Jackson denied ever extorting the comedian.
Kevin has repeatedly denied knowing anything about the video and claims he too was a victim of Jackson’s extortion attempts. Montia Sabbag is suing for intentional infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy.
TMZ reached out to Kevin Hart’s rep but they have not responded yet.
