Documentary Examining The Murder & Conspiracy Theory’s Surrounding Nipsey Hussle’s Death To Be Released | In The News

The slaying of Nipsey Hussle will be explored in an upcoming documentary called “The Mysterious Murder of Nipsey Hussle,” which will be released by the BBC.

Ben Zand, a BBC journalist, will speak with those who knew Nipsey best and look into the conspiracy theories behind his 2019 killing.

The documentary will also go into Eric Holder, the man who is accused of shooting and killing Hussle shortly after they had an argument.

“After his death, rumors began to swirl,” reads BBC’s description of the documentary. “Fellow gang member Eric Holder was detained to stand trial for the murder, but many suspected that he didn’t act alone. Although Holder was allegedly the person to pull the trigger, some Crenshaw locals believe he may not have been the person to authorize Nipsey’s killing.”

Zand spoke to community leaders in the documentary as well and met with a group called the Black Riders, who believe Nipsey’s murder had to do with a plot created by the U.S. government and the LAPD.

Hussle was killed on March 31, 2019, in front of his Marathon Clothing Store in South Los Angeles at 33 years old.

Holder was arrested two days later in Bellflower, California, and was charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He’s pleaded not guilty.

In February, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Robert Perry said that he wants Holder’s case to be finished by April 14, 2020, and it should take two weeks. That means the trial’s start date should be around April 1.

“Mr. Holder, as you know, this is an important case and a serious case. These cases take time to get ready for trial. You have the right to a speedy trial,” said Perry.

Viewers can catch the Hussle documentary on BBC iPlayer on March 26.
